Hey guys, well my mom drives a 97 prelude with the infamous H22a4, the problem im having is that when my starts her car, it leaks a massive amount of oil, so i looked near the oil filter, thinking it might be loose, be when i checked, it was leaking from this thing that the oil filter bolts on too. Any one know wat the hell this thing is?

 

o-ring behind the oil cooler.

oil cooler is what the filter screws onto.

fix that ****, its what killed my bearings on my 1st motor.

yea give me a few minutes.

 

the red dot is the O ring you have to replace. its like $2 from the dealer.

the blue dot is the cooler itself, which is bolted to the block by the oil filter adapter

the green dot is that adapter. its not the right size, but my 1.25" socket gets it on and off fine.

unbolt that adapter, and the cooler should come right off the block. the o ring is on the back of it.
