It may sound strange, but hear me out.

I have the Hondata dealer kit and use it to tune. I am also starting out with Crome. To datalog with Crome I would need to buy the HULog or similar device to convert the 4 pin to a serial plug, then use my adapter to convert it to USB.

Can the S200 box be used as a substitute, eliminating the need for ANOTHER device that does the same thing?

no, the blue box is hondata's copy protection scheme. The only thing it is good for is speaking Hondata to the S200 chipped ECU so that it doesn't freak out an put a 4000 RPM revlimiter on it. It will not accomplish what you are trying to do.
