Default car will not stay on.

i swapped in a b20vtec and when i try to start my car up, it revs up to 3K and drops back down and dies out.
i swapped out the spark plugs for new ones. what else should i be checking and what can cause the car not to stay on?

most important check all your wire harnesses from your engine to your ECU. Also make sure that ecu is the proper one for your motor and it is the correct OBD version.

All I can think of.

i just picked up a 91 teg from a homie for free. it was parked at his house for a yr and wuld start up and die out.. so i did a lil tune up and noticed his spark plug wires were not in the right order on the distiburator... fixed it and it started right up perfectly.. did u try to check that?

it's either tuning or a wicked vacuum leak.
