This debate has been going on from the day the AP2 was introduced.

The battle between AP1 and AP2 just boils down to personal preference. Some enjoy the added torque, some enjoy the 9000rpms. Some prefer the AP1 styling over the AP2's. If you had a gun to my head, and told me to make a decision for you, I would probably tell you to get the AP2 for your purposes. Since you plan on not modding the car past wheels and suspension, you will probably prefer the added torque. Personally if I were doing it (and God willing I will be early in the new year), I would get the AP1...more specifically a 2003.

In terms of things to look out for...its a honda. There really isn't too much I don’t think. Obviously the very early MY2000 had the plastic rear window which isnt very desirable.

Either way, I am sure you will be very happy with whatever you decide to go with.
