my crx goes boom
whats the problem do you think?
i was out and tuning my afr, i have a real safe ignition map i had around 11-12,0 when i pulled 4th gear it was a boom and the car shouts down, i have allot of smoke coming from the catch can.
when i finally found someone that could help me home o checked the comp and it was
1 8,0 kg
2 10,5 kg
3 0 kg
4 8kg
the 3ird had allot of water on the sparkplug and i have allot of water in the oil
the headgasket is very gone but do you think that the sleeves are gone to?
if so. whats the best to do? buy another block or new sleeves
the setup is
b16a1 obd0
garrett t04e 57 trim
blox manifold
cp pistons 9,1
eagle rods
here is a video when i try to start it

Were you tuning the timing or were you only looking at the wideband?
Because your afr matters much, MUCH less than the timing when it comes to blowing **** up. To me it looks like it got real hot from detonation and melted. Surprised the sleeve didn't go though.

Go look up that 560whp STOCK BLOCK B16. They busted the ringlands after a few pulls and quarter mile runs, and it still ran okay and had power.
Yours probably got to the edge of their life with the afc hack, then 15psi with better tuning took those fragile CP's to their death. To their credit, they probably gave you some extra time before going poof.
If you aren't 101% sure your engine maintained at least 12:1 AFR's during the whole pull (with datalogging to prove it), chances are it leaned out and blew. When #3 goes first, thats a good indicator of it leaning in all 4 since #3 runs the hottest.

From what I can see, the Head looks fine. The small marks are not going to do a whole lot. I would sand the marks a bit to smooth them down to keep from developing hotspots. Then drop the head off at a machine shop and have the valve seats recut.

My machine shop actually wanted to try and fix this one. She was toast though

Good 'Ole number 3
