pistons

will type R pistons fit in an ls motor and if they will what is the compression ratio of em would they be able to take 15 - 20 boost?

They'll fit, I think the only fitment issue you'll have is with rods...

I think it's 1mm off each side of the small end of the rods.

No, the rods will work, take the rods to a machine shop, they'll do it...

You want to raise compression and run boost on OEM pistons....those two ideas might not mix too well. Just buy some decent aftermarket pistons and rock it out.
