i have a 96 dx hatch and there's a crack in the top of my exhaust manifold. called the dealership service dept and the warranty is still good for my car to get it replaced. my question is.. can they void the warranty because i have after market exhaust piping (2.25") with a stock muffler? (bought the car that way)

Go ask them. We are not the stealership. Under warranty is under warranty so they better fix it.

 

Have someone else call and ask, or call another dealer.

They might not cover it because it has been modified.

 

The lady said i could bring it in tomorrow and someone would check it out to see if it's still good for the warranty. was just lookin for a heads up by askin you guys now before i go tomorrow. thanks anywho.

it shouldnt matter, those manifolds crack either way, with an exhaust system or not

 

tis true. they crack quite often. i just replaced one on my z6 over the weekend.
