Crank doesn't rotate after tighteing the last connecting rod cap
Hey guys,
I am rebuilding my D16A1 motor. After tightening the last connecting rod end cap, the crank does not rotate or is very hard to rotate, too tight. If I loosen the cap, cranks rotates just fine. I am torqueing the rod caps to to 23 ft.lbs. Any help with this be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Were your bearing clearances within tolerance?
Did you use assembly lube?
Did you tighten the main caps in the correct pattern?

If you can't spin your crank when everything is torqued down,
then you probably have too large of main bearing put in.
Did you buy a set off ebay, or match them from the block, and crank, then buy the correct color from honda?
In easy terms to explain it, this is the reason why you use plastigauge,
but if you can get everything together with minimal movement, and it spins, then it'd work fine.

Thanks for the replies guys. I never took the crank out so main bearings were not the issue. Switching the rod caps around worked just fine. I kept eveything together but somehow at the machine shop may be they switched the caps around. It moves just fine now. Thanks for the quick replies.
