Default Taking my car to a local HONDA dealership to get fixed...**Questions**

I am finally taking my car in to get it looked at. I have been having problems with the following things....

1) Needs a valve adjustment
2) Alternator bracket is broke and does'nt charge battery correctly
3) Sometimes if its really hot outside and I go to start my car it will not start
4) The Temp gauge needle will shoot up even though the car is'nt overheating
5) The gauges act up like the speedometer is off by 5mph and will sometimes just shoot up.
6) The gas gauge is never accurate.
7) Sometimes the A/C will not work right and will blow hot.

So now with all that said how much do you think the bill will be? I'm hoping under $700.
What do you guys think?

I wanted to best possible service on my car so thats why i'm taking it to Honda.

it will probably cost you 700 in labor alone dude...honda is going to hose you for the cost of parts, labor and anything else...best bet is find the best mechanic in your area that works on hondas or anything in general...but going to a honda dealership you will pay out the ***

edit: also just cause its honda doesnt mean its going to be the best either

Have you tried replacing the speedo/cluster to see if it takes care of your gas gauge, temp needle, and speedo problems?

The problem is that I don't know who to take it to. I don't want to get screwed over or the job not done right.

Not yet. I wanted to get some professionals opinions before I just started buying stuff. If I bought the cluster, replaced it and it did'nt work then I've just wasted 125 dollars.

i understand..took me awhile to find a trustworthy mechanic...just ask around HT for people who are in your area or maybe a little bit of a drive away and see where they recommend to take it

Also something very strange is the more electrical load I put on the car A/C or lights the higher the gauge will go. If I turn off everything the gauge will go where down.

and if you have them look at that problem they will charge you 2 hrs of diagnostic and that equals 250 bux, then plus you have to buy a cluster. find a ht member online that is good in your area and im sure he will do it for cheap. i'd hook you up but im on the opposit coast.

X2, exactly I have a ex cluster that I'm selling for $40 shipped. Thats besides the point though the dealership is going to rap you on labor. It might take them a few hours to diagnois the problems. Truthfully all the problems to listed have been covered on here hundreds of times, no bullshit. The only problem I would honestly get looked at would be the A/C other then that everything else you listed has been covered on here. Take advantage of your resources.
