I have a stock 93 Del sol and I just changed the ignition coil and now when i start the car and start driving it runs fine then all of a sudden it shuts off .I put the car in neautral and it restarts fine then it might just shut off again in a few miles but restarts with no problem.Any help would be appreciated .I dont know if it could be the ignition control module or could be the ECM

IT IS PROBABLY THE IGNITER,BUY A DISTRIBUTOR AND BE DONE

 

you said you changed the coil and now it cuts out.... so why did you change the coil? but the old one back in if it didnt do it before!

 

change the dizzy man jus get a new one .. u mighta spoofed something up by jus changing the coil

 

lost spark and wouldnt start at all checked the coil and it was bad so i changed it . Never had this problem before til after i changed the coil now just shuts off but restarts fine so if anyone has a dizzy for sale let me know and im going to call see how much a new one is

 

Where did you get the new coil from? Cross reference the part # and make sure you got the right coil. Whoever you got it from may have given you the wrong one.
I'd do that first before you up and condemn your distributor that was just working fine before the coil went up.
If it is the right one, i'd take it back and use the warranty that it came with(hopefully) and get another one. You could of just got a bad coil.

By the way, the bad coil that came up, you said it was bad; did it short to the casing?
