Default The Clutch or the Transmission? That is the Question...

So today I was driving to the local store and I started to notice it got really hard to put the car into gear and also really hard to take it out of gear.

I went into the store then came out. Started the car, tried to put it into gear and it wouldn't go in. When i tried to put it in gear, the car would jerk forward alittle.

You know the feeling when you try putting the car into gear without pressing the clutch? It jerks forward alittle.... That is how it felt for me even when pushing the clutch in!

I changed the clutch fluid, no luck.

Help me please! thanks.

Its probably your clutch, but replace the clutch master and slave cylinders first. I had the exact same problem 2 weeks ago. And all 3 of those things failed on me at the same time giving me the symptoms you got

If the pedal comes back up after pushing it in, it's most likely not your master ans slave clutch cylinders. If it comes back up, it's most likely either your pressure plate, or your hub springs have gone bad. I think that's what happened to my brother as well. Either way, I think it's appropriate that you buy yourself a new clutch, pressure plate and flywheel if you can afford it. Don't forget release and pilot bearings.

Sounds like one of your springs on the friction disc broke off.

99.9% sure it's your clutch. Does/Did it make a whirring sound when you pressed the clutch in?
