My starter just sounds like it pops out but dosent spin, i took the starter and battery to the auto parts store and they check it and everything was ok, I take it back home and hook it up but it dose the same thing, could it be my CM flywheel orderd for a z6, I was ulmost 100 percent sure that the all d seires flywheels are the same? any help would be apreciated

 

Does it sound like its trying to start but doesn't? try checking the ground wire to the start. My has been loose before which prevented it from starting.
It looks like its in but it really isn't. HTH.

 

I go it to work i guess the tranny to chassie ground was not good enough because i grounded the tranny to the chassie with some jumper cables and it work. YAHOOO!

 

i have had the ground wire too...it was my tranny ground

 

im resurecting this thread because i think im having this problem. my starter seems to just have died out of the blue. all the other times i have had one go bad it gave some warning signs. today the car was fine when i went to work and when i came out it wouldn't start. thank god i park in a garrage thats above ground. just popped the clutch and it started. i was wondering if anyone else has had this ground wire problem and whay exactlyu are the symptoms.
