no start
tried new coil and new distributor, no good.
this vehicle has external coil

diagnostic results:

1. no spark (at spark plug
2. no injector pulse
3. main relay ok(solder point ok)
4. coil has power from ign switch
5. coil does not output power to distributor

did u check the starter?

 

it cranks completly normal

 

replace the main relay anyway...they look completly normal and still don't work...hope this helps

 

swapped a main relay, ecm, tcm.
but car still wont start

 

found out, no power going from ign swithc to main relay. attempt to jump it, give it power directly, starts, but immediatly stalls when it starts up

 

Check the Ignition Control Module. It's under the Distributor Cap.

 

By the way the car would run like **** for a while before the distrib gets to the point where the car won't start at all.
