How do i put eg seats on an ef hatch?
Nope...EG seats will bolt up except for one hole,I believe its going to be the rear inner (next to console) which if you put some muscle behind and get the bolt started your good.I had these in my EF for a while, problem is the seat cushion sits really high and your legs may rub the bottom of the steering wheel. You wont need to modify anything, weld, swap pans, etc.
I dont know that EG/EF pans are swapable, you might compare them and try but personally it sounds like alot of drama.Even with the tilt wheel all the way up,the bottom of the wheel still rubbed legs occasionally, and Im 5'11 160 lbs so no big guy.A better seat is the DA 90-93 Integra, great fit and very little work.

Since when are the teg seats a good fit in an EF? The seats are wider, pans are un-swappable, and the stock brackets don't line up in the least.

I'm going to guess the difference was the fact that they were 4 door seats. But..
The pans were not the same, and the brackets were no where's close. So no, I wasn't talking out of my ***, I tried it myself. We're both talking about 90-93 seats here, right?

Did you try removing the Integra lower cushions and checking the three mounting bolts per side, I was thumbing through the manuals for both 90 Civics and Integras and they seem to mount the same was...Lower pans to rails that is...One front bolt and the two rear bolts hold the recliner mechanism... The top part of the recliner mechanism has the two holes that hold the upper fram and cushion. So if the bolt holes line up you might be able to swap lower and upper Integra cushions onto your Civic rails and recliners. I have a buddy with a spare set of 91 Integra seats in his garage and might try htis with an old 1990 STD Civic seat I have in my storage unit...I have SI seats but some nice dark Integra seats would be nice also...
I'm glad I took pics of this when I had it in...
This is for a 90-91 Civic Hatchback though, 88-89 rails have different mounting points. I only did the driver's seat.

Held down by three bolts. Here are pics of the way I did mine:
REAR RIGHT BOLT:
Needed to open up the hole on the rail with a dremel

REAR LEFT BOLT:
Needed a longer bolt and used spacers (nuts in my case) to fill the gap

FRONT LEFT BOLT:
Lined up without modification

Front right bolt not used. Held in place fine. Hope that helps.

Yes, was your car a 90-91? I've done it myself and it's off only by a little. I just ran 3 bolts.

Car is a 91, seats were out of a 92 or 93 4 door, and nothing even came close to lining up or being level

I usually refrain from this kinda drama, cause you know what they say about arguing over the internet (that its like the special olympics, even if you win, you're still a 'tard) but let me retort:
I know since I did it way back in the day before H-T got taken over by a bunch of shaggy haired high schoolers that put a cold air intake on their moms Civic and thought it was fast.DA seats will in fact fit 90-91 hatches with minimal effort.Swap outer rails.Enlarge inner rear track hole.Buy 2 longer metric bolts and use spacers underneath. Its not hard, and its certainly easier than swapping pans or using some ghetto fabulous method.
