whats up guys. i'm goin to be needing a new clutch within the next couple months. i'm not sure what kind i should go with though. i want something that feels somewhat similar to stock. i'm somewhat limited on money too, so i can only spend like four hundred on it.

$400, does that include paying for the work to be done? or are you doing it yourself?

$400 to spend can get you a stage 1 clutch and a lightened flywheel (aftermarket) package. Look around at local shops.

If you really want to stick with OEM specs, get an EXEDY Clutch OEM Equivalent (DAIKEN) kit and you will have similar results. Don't forget to resurface the flywheel upon installation. I got the clutch kit for $130

If you want a stronger clutch that is stronger than stock, but not too harsh, get a stage one clutchmasters, exedy, etc...it will probably cost about $250+. Don't forget labor, unless you are doing it yourself.

 

i dont have to worry about installation because one of my good friends is a master tech at honda. he said whatever i get he'll install for fifty bucks.

 

Unless youre making significantly more power than stock, theres nothing wrong with an oem spec clutch from exedy/daikin.

i agree. but if u want summin thats gonna grip a lil harder i would go with a stage 2 or stage 3. im running a stage 3 comp clutch in a daily driven 2000 hatch with an itr in it and it runs great but traffic tends to be a bitch.

 

Ive drove one of my friends cars with a exedy stage 1. I liked how it felt and for a simple upgrade from oem id go with it

 

i bought an exedy clutch from ebay for my GSR. it was the OEM equivalent one. was pretty good i'd say nothing to drastic if your looking for a stock but aftermarket clutch. cost me exactly $153!

 

exedy oe clutch from ebay (daikin)..just the clutch kit for my del sol was 85 shipped..they have a kit that comes with a lightend flywheel for i think 210 which still isnt bad

and the clutch grabs nice still feels like stock but grabs a little harder than stock..

great cluch for the price

Why would you need more grip? Have you slipped a stock disc running stock power? Its totally unnecessary

...unless you plan on boostin in the future
then it'll be worth upgrading now (while you have to)

 

Stage one (or OEM spec) clutch from Exedy and a lightened flywheel.

 

Gripforce clutches on ebay has the best prices and good service for daikin/exedy products.

My oem clutch was ~$85
