What is top mph in 1-2-3-4. I don't have a tach and don't want to over rev. Thanks.

check it out. not much info. hope it helps.

70-80 in 3rd? whoah! i'd never do that. friend of mine just threw out a rod bearing and blew the block. he revs 5k for every gear, lols, and still is, w/ the $450 dx engine he dropped. IMO, don't rev past 3500.

Is there even a rev limiter on the stock dx. The manual I got with the car says 35 mph in 1st and I think 60 in 2nd. I tested to see if I would hit the limiter but I took it to 40 in 1st. I don't have a rev tach so I shift when I reach a mph.

Rev limiter is around 6800 rpms. And it is save to take the D15B7 over 3500 rpms

With 205 tires, I can almost go 100mph in 3rd gear before the rev limiter kicks in.

You guys baby the DX motor?

That's funny. My old Si motor saw 7200rpms all day every day!

The rev limiter is there, so use it to see where your car maxes in terms of MPH in each gear, and then after hitting it once in gears 1-4 you'll know for suture reference.

My 99 will do at least 65-70 in second. I barely have to shift to 3rd to finish the quarter at a blindingly fast 78

How did you fit more than one cam in your D15B7? Same Q for cam gearS too.

95'd15b7: have you put your dx up for a run or a dyno yet?

i baby my dx, why? real tight budget, put it this way, don't have enough money even just to swap another d16 in the bay. money goes to pay off my loan and refurbish my car(ie. bad condition of interior)

I understand the money thing, but being gentle on the DX motor and all? I guess if you feel safer that way.

I don't think that revving the motor to near-redline will harm it, but good for you if you drive on it nicely!
