Is it really surprising that the Japanese Type R won?

And did I hear that lady correctly......she said the UK Type R was under $18000......is that american dollars or british pounds?

And what's up with the little bug crawling around on the screen?

It's not surprising that the JDM Civic Type R won, but it is surprising that the winning margin was a whopping 3 seconds. The UK Type R is no slouch. I would like to know how the US Si does against those two. The UK Type R has a better tuned engine but the US Si has LSD.

Don't UK CTR's come with the same engine as Si's.
Si has LSD but FN2 weighs 2787lbs. hmm I think it would be interesting race.

Yes the FN2 comes with the same engine. Atleast to my knowledge

That would be a great race adding the Si in.

I'm not sure about other differences, but the UK engine does the VTEC switchover at 5400 RPM, a lot earlier than the US version.

Cool, I didn't know that. Wonder why? They must have a different program on the ecu for the early switchover.

Not that much of a difference. The Civic Si's vtec hits at 5800 rpms.
