OK... so i think my balance shafts are not adjusted properly. My engine shakes at certain RPMs and then goes away after certain RPMs. How can i see if they are adjusted properly and how do i adjust them. Only serious replies cause i don't feel like arguing with the usual gang

 

Well the only way is to pull the bottom timing belt cover off and then align the shafts.

is this just while sitting and revving? theres not really anything to adjust.

 

theres a plug on the back of the block by the balance shaft for the oil pump. take that 12mm bolt out..it has a crusher washer on it. stick a screw driver in it as you turn it and eventually the screw driver will go all the way in. once it is in the all your makrs should line up if they dont then there off...

 

this is in a EG... Do i have to go under the car??? and what am i spinning??? Don't i have to take the belt off first to spin the shaft???

 

isnt EG a type of civic not prelude, or am I missing something?

 

i am saying that it is in a EG because maybe someone might be able to give me a easier way to get to it rather than me figuring it out the hard way
