Default Rough Transmission

My stick rumbles going into fifth gear. I was told it could be a clutch problem. Someone else told me in could be the sycros. Are those likely the sources of the problem?

what year is the car? 5th gens have a very common problem with a misaligned shift fork which causes a 5th gear grind. I had it, changed my tranny fluid, and it's gone now

I think it was in the production of all H22a4's under a hood. 5th gear synchro goes out. I've heard of a cryogenic process to keep it from happening. But I am sure that the synchros you can buy from a dealer are up to specifications to prevent further wear.

There's a TSB for this problem, 92-01. You might want to try changing the trans fluid to the new Honda mtf first.
