what happended at willow?

 

summary: went to WS to instruct mainly. had some open track left on sunday 4pm so i decided to run a few laps in fartmachine. oil pressure fluctuates despite having 5 qt. accusump, drop off the track after few laps @ big track. rod knock. thought i nurse it to LA, bad idea, tried to turn around to get back to track. stranded 2 miles from willow springs. labor day monday... couldn't find anyone. leave car in desert on 60th & ave D and hitched a ride back to WS. crashed in garage with some motorcycle peeps. next morning, i find broken glass... lost steering wheel, QR, toolbox, al. jack, v1, snap on timing light, helmet, dl90, spares (pads/rotors)... etc. about $2000+ worth of stuff. damn thieves.

i made several poor decisions leading up to that... my own fault. need to be more decisive next time and make smarter and more conservative choices. live & learn.
