Default civic type r tranny rebuild help

ok my buddy need to rebuild his 98 civic type r tranmission, the barings and sycros are finish. now what i need to know is, do usdm integra type r tranmission parts fit and work in the jdm civic type r tranmission?? if not is there a site that have a oem honda jdm parts catalog so i can order the parts from the acura dealer i work at??

r u sher because my boss (the part manager at my acura dealer) said thea they do not fit, he said usdm tranny are not the same as jdm is he right or worng???? has any one rebuild there jdm tranny with usdm parts?????

not the same the countershaft splines are a bit thicker on jdm i tried it last week with an mfactory 3.07 1st gear on my jdm itr then sold it and installed it on b16 tranny fit like a glove..

The syncros and bearings are the same as the USDM GSR and ITR. The LS has a different 1st to 2nd Syncro...the rest are the same.

Not quite

Hydro B16, GSR, TYPE R, CTR use all the same syncros. LS has smaller 3/4th syncro.

All the case bearings for the trans are the same on all hydro B series except for the diff.
B16/LS use the same diff bearings
GSR/ITR/CTR all can use the type R style ball diff bearing bearing.

Forgot about that...smaller shift fork as well on the main input shaft.

hmm you cant read can you?

if it makes you feel any better i spoke to bense about this a loooong time ago and yes the usdm ITR parts are the same as the CTR.

you can also talk to the people over at gearspeed for parts/advice etc...
