Honda tranny fluid capacity
The other day when I replaced my clutch, I leaked a little tranny fluid when I pulled the axles. Not asking first, I replaced it with 70 weight gear oil. Now, knowing, I just went and bought genuine Honda MTF fluid, but they told me the car will take less than 2 qts. You may see it as lazy, but rather that pull the top plug and fill it on level ground untill the fluid leaks out, can someone give me an exact M2S4 MTF capacity(like 1 3/4 qts.). 2 qts seems like not enough to me. BTW: My tranny is fu-ed from it's previous owner(as was my clutch) and therefore, is there anything better for an fu-ed tranny than Honda MTF?
It usually will take just a little less than 2 quarts unless you do a full rebuild and drain every last bit of the fluid. Just doing a fluid change will take a little less than 2 quarts. I need to check my manual, but the capacity is right around 2.3 quarts, give or take.
couldn't you just keep adding, heat up the tranny/motor, and check your dipstick?

There is no dipstick for a manual trans.

You've obviously never worked on a Honda manual trans.

I fill my tranny from the reverse switch..
keep in mind that if the car is jacked up in the front the tranny will take in less (or more?) fluid.
