stainless Intercooler piping

Default stainless Intercooler piping

Just put together some intercooler piping for a turbo corrado. 3.0 liter with a gt35 and dta. its a air to water unit.
tell me what you think

.065 tubing. Miller maxstar 150 borrowed from work

no filler

im way to familar with arc burn. My neck is bright red from tig welding 20 feet up in the air in a pipe rack

me too, i see people welding in short sleeve shirts all the time, every time ive even tack welded a small peice ive got a tan i geuss i burn easy....

i think its safe for that little ic piping
if it was a structural or a downpipe, i would add a cap pass over the fused root

in the diary and brewery industry all the .065 tubing we do is fused with no filler. There is no need for it

that engine bay looks good. ive done 2 VW set ups with air/water ic's and all the piping was exactly the same other than i welded a cast 90 onto the turbo instead of using a 90 coupler. looks good

ive never had a problem fusing mild/stainless intercooler piping (i usually use aluminum though)i use filler on exhaust work though.

Yes. No filler should be needed But you must "always" back purge stainless.
