I have a 91 dx with a b16 engine/tranny and i was wondering if anyone has experienced a wierd noise comming from under the car twards the end of their clutch's life? Im really sorry but the best thing that i can compare it to is a chainsaw when reved. My clutch is going out and the noise has gotten worse in the past month or so. It occurs almost everytime i shift once the car is warmed up (depending on the speed and everything) and at certain points in early acceleration/deceleration. I dont have my tach in yet so i cant give you any specific rpm's. Also, i know it isn't my gears grinding.. different noise.

has anyone ever experienced this?

could be your throw out bearing. are you on a stock clutch?
some after market clutches make nasty noise...like ACT...
