Default How To Make Superb bass hits?

I own a 1998 (6th gen) Accord Ex 4 cyl. sedan. I put two 12' alpines in my trunk with a 500 watt amp. My trunk rattled quite a bit so i used dyno mat to solve this problem. It worked well. I feel like I am not getting the bass i deserve from these subs. I didnt turn the amp bass control all the way up because I dont want to blow anything. If you have any suggestions on how to improve bass quality I would really appreiciate your help thank you!

Answer the questions (all of them) with clear answers and we'll help you.

Otherwise, we're just guessing, and wasting our time.

i know why, its b/c the type E's suck, should have opted for the type r's and a bigger amp. what guage wire are you running? your lights dimming at night? get an SPL meter and check it.

edit: the SPL meter won't tell you if your guage or lights should have made them seperate paragraphs, i hope you would know what spl is though

Sell the type E's and get something better...

I ran two 12" JL Audio W3's in my EJ8 and sounded amazing with a small 500 watt amp pushing them.

Now I run one 15" JL Audio W3 and it definitely pushes out the bass!

....wasted space, if you dont have any to add, dont post just to get your post count up, make it seem like that makes a difference around here

As far as q-logic boxs go, i have heard that they suck from around these forums , i wouldnt know from day 1 i have always built my own boxs..I would suggest making yourself a box, if you know have the know how for that, have someone make one for you. If your looking for an amazing alpine product get the type x, i have a 12" in the back of my WRX and DAMN, for 1 12" that thing hits. (being run by a REAL, 1000watt amp..)

Type e =
If you wanna stay with the alpines get the type r's....the subs not the badges. And a bigger amp.

And almost just like MiNDTRiP03, i am running 1 jlw3 ....15' with a 1920 watt amp Thats almost too much.

try adjusting the levels on your amp or head unit if any.

i know my kicker amp has gain, bass and frequency.. so i just bumped up the gain and lowered frequency until i got the desired kick
