What is your budget? That is the biggest deciding factor when it comes to building a motor (or anything for that matter). At the very least, I would get forged pistons, aftermarket rods, new bearings, and ARP headstuds. This should give you the necessary protection for future horsepower increases.
Just remember, without a good tuner and tune, all those parts won't be any better than stock parts.

2 g's. ive been looking into the crowder turbo kit, it comes with everything to rebuild the block. ive got 7 months to build it so im in no rush to fudge anything up and buy what i dont need to. how about the cams, shafts rocker arms and all that?ide rather have aftermarket in the head then stock. and how can i tell if aa tuner knows what hes doing, haha, it would be a touph trust factor there in that case.
I'm guessing you mean Crower? Crower parts are good, a bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for. There are definitely cheaper, but still quality brands out there that you can use and not worry about parts failure. But if you are set on the Crower parts, then by all means go for it.
As for the head, I would suggest replacing the stock valvesprings, retainers, and possibly the valves. Just make sure you get a good valve job. I would say stick with stock cams for now, and see how far you can get with the stock cams. Many people have made good power with stock cams and even stock valvetrain.
The best way to find a good tuner is by either word of mouth or the tuner's reputation for producing good results from their work. Ask around your area, chances are there is at least a few good tuners. You also need to know what engine management system you will be using.

Shoot, with 2g's you could easily build the bottom end to handle that much power. There are more than a few guys running well over 300whp on STOCK bottom end. With upgraded pistons and rods obviously fresh bearings your bottom end will be fine. Its your top end you need to focus on. Getting a set of nice JGE303 cams, dual valve springs, and a blox intake manifold you could be high to mid 300whp on stock bottom end with probably no more than 12-18lbs of boost depending on application.
Im stock bottom and top end on 12lbs hovering around 300whp daily driven for over a year now... no problems

niiice, i appreciate the info. it would be easy to go stock, but i worry to much, id rather go down the road with no worrys at all, ya know. thanxx
