Hi. I'm building my pelude turbo project. Few mounth ago i get mid darton sleeves and i gave the block and sleeves to one mashine shop,but still after 4 month waiting they did't do anything.so i went to another shop and they sad that they don't know anybody who can do the job. I live in ireland now . Some body told me about place in england but they wasn't shore as well. So maybe there is place in US where i can send my block for sleeving? i realy need it done as soon as possible.

Where I live there are probably about 10 shops withing 40 miles that would do it. I have a hard time believing that there are absolutely no speed/engine building shops around you. Even if you're in Ireland. Find a general speed shop, go in and ask them, I'm sure they will find you at least 1 in your area. I just dont want to see you spend all kinds of money shipping when you don't have to.

This is why you can't just go out and "buy" sleeves. They need to be installed professionally by a reputable shop with the correct tolerances.

Things are ALOT different in the UK though bud. There is very few builders here that would even know what an M.I.D sleeve was let alone how to install it properly.

OP: There is a place in Essex that was recomended to me by Darton but i cant seem to find the details. If you contact them they should be able to point you in the right direction

Just to warn you they quoted me around £700 to install the sleeves

 

Justice Racing Engines does it, I got my block sleeved there, but I got flanged sleeves not MID. Great guy.

 

you said you bought darton sleeves right? send it to them. they have a facility in California and in Indiana. they did mine and all i had to send them was the bare bones block and the pistons i was running. with the mid kit i think i paid $1400US or it could have been 1700 but regardless they did a great job.

 

Shipping from the UK to the states and back is like another $300+ which you have to take into consideration

 

damn, there was a guy who got his block sleeved in greece, but i dont think i could find that thread if i tried.
