Default tie rod and drive axle problem

so I'm finally getting my car back together( 02 civic coupe) and I ran into yet a couple more problems. I'm trying to hook my tie rods back up and I cant figure out how to get the nuts on when the bolts keep on spinning. Ive tride to put vice grips at the opposite end and tried turning but I cant get the nut on far enough to grab the bolt at the bottom. Also my drivers side drive axle won't go all the way in. The ring at the end of the Drive axle seems a little to far extended but I even tried closing that a little bit and still no luck. If anyone has any way that they know of to fix either problems it would be greatly appreciated.

Default

tie rod ends are shot, replace them
line the splines on the axle up then give it a good hard shove. it'll snap in.
