leak... tranny?
I came to work today and saw what looked like oil behind my boss' tl. i look under and sure enough its leaking near the motor area. i went inside, grabbed a paper towel, touched the 'oil'. it looked like watered down oil. i smelled it, smelled like pavement, not oil.... wtf? possibly tranny fluid?
does the tl use very low viscosity oil?

What yr is the TL? The 99's had some differential wear issues that allows the diff to move excessively causing what looks like a leaky axle seal. The leak is usually from the driverside axle. A new axle seal wont fix the problem, it will need a new trans. Take it to the dealer and let them diag it.
that stuff should be pink in color though, not clear. I do not believe that honda was using clear PS fluid back then either, but I could be mistaken
