What would happen if Charcoal Canister system wasnt hooked up?

My friend got this B16 teg from some puertorican, There are vacumn lines routed wrong, theres no hoses off the charcoal cannister

because have you ever seen one of there cars... with a puerto rican flag on it and a ghetto engine swap where they dont even use any hose clamps on anything...

OBD0 will not set a CEL for not having the lines hooked up to the charcoal cannister and EVAP purge solinoid. Only OBD2 does.

the purpose of the canister is fuel efficency it sucks in fumes from the tank and condenses them then sends it to the injectors in an indirect way.

It doesn't anything to do with fuel efficiency. The canister system is designed to help reduce hydrocarbon emissions to the atmosphere.
