I just bought a JDM B18b last monday. I put the motor in the car. Started hooking up the motor harness and noticed the JDM motor doesnt have a Crank Angle Sensor. I looked at the head to double check the year. And it has 1996 stamped on the head. I have a 97 civic running a OBD1 P75.

What i want to know is this. Will my P75 look for the Crank sensor Or do I need to get a OBD1 Ls Dizzy and wire the sensor?

 

 

It will look for it. Just do the ckf bypass trick. Just do a search, I'm pretty someone has done it here before.

 

um... no....obd1 p75 will NOT look for it

you will be fine with a 94-95 p75,96 and newer obd2 USDM ecu's are the only ecus that read that sensor, your motor is jdm so it doesn't have it at all

 

Usdmcivic is right, did'nt see the obd1p75.
