How to make instrument cluster needles light up ?
Hi, does anyone have any ideas or links on how to get my instruments cluster to light up like in the pic below? Well not that bright, but bright enough to see it and it blue as well

But seriously, lol, I noticed that after installing those EL Gauges in my dash, the needles do not light up at night, and its kinda hard to see it at night - maybe there is some way to get a small LED in there on each needle???

go to micheals , buy florecent paint they sell this halloween 6 pack for like 5$ open cluster paint the urself self ur choice of color
go to frys buy a 6" cathetode(sp?) tube (maybe u ca go online and find a 4")
wire it to ur dimmer to control the light output and hide it the tube in this little area on top of the cluster
if u look at the instruction on the glowneedle site
its the exact same process, they use florencent needle and a uv light stashed in the cluster except they make u cut ur old needles of and place some replacements (sketchy imho)
the ones in the picture above are def little leds on needle but u gotta do the same process i.e cut off ur needles
heres mine i did green needles and blue cathtode tube
****NOTE I CHOOSE NOT TO HIDE THe TUBE AND IN THE PIC I HAVE IT AT FULL BRIGHTNESS
its just the ricer in me
but u can hide it and u can dim it to olny illluminate the needles

to do the led needles heres the diy
