question about moroso oil pan
like the title says i have a question about the modified oem replacement oil pan. i put it on and it started leaking ffrom the front corner by the crank pulley. so i took the oil pan off and and i noticed in the gasket that there was 2 rips where nipple goes. so i put a new gasket on and used silicone and it still does the same thing. I put alot of rtv around the outside of the block and pan and it still manages to leak. So i wonderin if anyone else has had this problem and if they did how did they fix it. thanks in adance
I had a steel moroso pan that leaked where they spot welded the baffle in it...u need to call moroso and explain to them that it wont seal if you are having problems with it.
did you over tighten the pan? i have heard of it leaking because ppl over tightened it and the gasket was not sealing because of it. re torque everything to spec. i would also check to make sure that the mating surface is clean and nothing is preventing the gasket from sealing properly
i had the same thing happen to mine but it wasnt the gasket it was the crank seal.....it had alittle rip in it and it looked like it was comin from the oil pan but it wasnt that

Mine was cracked on the weld for the oil drain. Thought it was the gasket to. just welded it backup. Its fine now. look at the welds good. goodluck
I've got a semi-new 5-grt pan and I have not have any leak issues. Just used a new OEM gasket every time a take it off and I remind myself no to overtighten.
