Fitted Sard FPR & car doesn't run clean unless @ 5bar!
Hi,
I have an EG6 with B18C engine and i recently decided to fit a Sard FPR i had lying about but i've come across a problem after the install. Anything below around 5 bar fuel pressure the car doesn't pick up in higher gears as well. Out driving in the car when i came to a hill in the road i could just press the gas a little more in 5th or 4th and it would just go but now the car sometimes bogs and hesitates before picking up and pulling.
Running the higher pressure gave me then same mileage to half a tank as the stock pressure did and i've not noticed any issues with plugs.
Anyone know whats going on?
Going to switch back to the stock unit to see how it goes.
Any help would be appreciated!
Edit: Fittings are Earls with braided lines, no kinks and the gauge im using is on brand new Defi DIN gauge. I was using the pressure gauge for oil but changed it to fuel pressure to setup the Sard FPR.
