how do you get your car to whistle? do you need skunk2 manifold or what. my friend doesnt have manifolds but still whistle and like when i had a short ram it didnt whistle in my car but when i gave it to my friend it whistles

My first civic did that when i put a cheap intake on it. It was annoying...I threw that hunk of junk in the trash and got me an AEM. Mainly for CARB EO and no more whistling!

 

There isn't any way to "guarantee" that it will whistle when an aftermarket intake is installed, and I'm not sure why you're really be concerned about it anyway.

My brother's car makes a very pronounced whistle at certain throttle positions ever since the AEM CAI was installed.

My identical car with an identical intake did not make nearly the same sort of whistle.

 

Its from air rushing past the throttle plate. Ive got a generic CAI, and it almost sounds like a turbo at part throttle. I want to find an old Iceman CAI, but i'm having poor luck.
