Driving impressions: 11.1" brakes to 11.8" brakes
The 99 RL calipers are about 17lbs loaded, so these are probably around 18lbs loaded. The rotor is 15lbs compared to the 14lb 11.1" rotor.

Going to a bigger size rotor just means more resistance to heat/fade. Unless you're driving down long grades all the time, I don't think it would ever matter on the street. And more clamping force... any more clamping force than what I have now would just mean locking up the tires.
What proportioning valve are you using? Which end locks up first?
I have a simple Integra brake swap, ss lines, 15/16 master cylinder, wilwood adjustable prop valve, metalmaster pads, ate super blue fluid, decent street summer tires. I don't believe that there is a better street setup. OEM parts, reliability, ease of finding parts, ease of installation, cheap, doesn't require bigger than 15 inch wheels, doesn't take forever to warm up to OT, extremely effective.
On my Integra I just replaced the front calipers with Wilwoods.

just read your post on the 11.1 to 11.8 brakes. i have a 95 civic dx and plan to do the rear disc swap when i return from iraq. i would love to upgrade the fronts, and would like information on what would be my best bang for the buck. i know the 01 rl calipers are expensive, and i would have to get a custom bracket from you. from seeing your posts, i have confidence in your custom brackets, i just need a parts list comparision to figure out what would be the best options for me. thank you
what year ex knuckles? and for the rl brackets, can i ger those from you milled? also 99-04 rl calipers? i was planning on going with the 1 inch master cylinder and booster with 4040 from the integra. i ran that on my crx and loved it,
