Any body know how to take the Cluster apart?
I want to take my cluster apart, but can't figure how to, I figured I have to take the needles off if I'm going to take the rear part off. if any one has done this and or have a diy that be great. I did some search and what came up where older links with no pics available and little write up. I'm going to replace the mileage gauge. to another cluster thats why I need help.
take it out. look for screws or seams that need to be popped, ive never taken an integra cluster apart but pretty much everything honda makes can be taken apart with a philips #2 and a 10mm wrench.
the cluster I bought off from a member on ht. and the problem im having is that im trying to figure how to roll back the mileage or replace it with one that has about my correct mileage. my car have 136000 and this one has 147022, reason. is because when i take the car to get smogged its going to be register under that mileage which is incorrect and i need to fix it before that, and no i dont have my other cluster, my car was stolen and im putting everything back together, thats why.
To roll back the mileage you will need to remove the needle. I wouldn't recommend this because its very hard to replace the needle back in the right position to be accurate again. You should just sell that cluster and try and find one as close as you can to the proper mileage.
yes I know that. thats why I want to make the correction, I did some search but nothing clear came up. I found old topics but images did not work. So if any one can help me find some that would be good.

thats the closest ive come to with a gsr cluster. ive found other clusters closer and i would buy them if i could replace the odometer i believe i have to take the 2 screws from the back and the needles to gain access to that correct?
I figure how to do it with out that, but ive seen it before, not enough info, since i need pictures to see what he meant by alignment. its kinda confusing since theres small gears the big so you have to have time to do it, but i guess i can figure it out i still got time. Also to let people know i rolled it back to the chassis last knowledge miles that i recalled. all i have to do is put it together correctly. thanks for the help.
