Default Water leakinggggg

Wondering if anyone could give me some insightful help on this problem.

I recently bought a 92 integra db1. A few days after my purchase, as I was giving it a carwash, I noticed that there was water leaking on the passenger side, that was dripping onto the floor mats. I called the previous owner thinking it was the windshield (since he had replaced the windshield - he promised to get it fixed when he sold it). So I brought it and they did several tests like spraying Windex and using compressed air to see if the Windex would bubble due to cracks etc... Nothing. They finally realized it was the sealing for the heater that had gone bad. So he changed it and that seamed to fix the problem. However 2 days ago, after it rained fairly hard, there was water dripping from the exact same place as before. I noticed that there's a metal piece that runs underneath the heater box(a grey-white container) under the dash, and between the container and the metal piece, theres a sort of sponge. Everytime I press it, it leaks. Im assuming that's just the accumulation of the water. Anyways, any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

Sounds like a bad Heater Core.

But your saying it only does it when it rains so I could be wrong.

Yeah, I did several car washes and never seemed to have any problems. Until that one day that it rained...

Did you turn on your heat in the car the same day you saw the leak?

If its not your heater core and your car does have a leak somewhere on the outside, then to me it sounds like your leak could be coming from the bottom part of the windshield where the windshield meets the car.

I noticed a little crack in the sealing for the windshield (at the bottom) I will probably end up duct-taping it just to test, if anything I'll seal it with silicone. Ill try the heater...

Well you should be able to tell water from anti-freeze.

Eitherway I would try turning on your heat and see if you notice a leak from under the dash. If not then its probably the windshield.

Its not your heater core or a clogged evaporator, its your wiper cowl leaking. This is a very common problem on all DA's, if you have a DA and havent had to fix this yet its because a previous owner has already. The only reason it starts leaking when you turn on the heat or a/c is because the blower fan is blowing the water out of it. Here is a couple of links on how to fix it from g2ic, http://g2ic.com/forums/showthr...+leak and http://g2ic.com/forums/showthr...+leak.
