Default Does anyone have a REALLLY good FAQ for DIY engine swaps. First time & very confused

Hey guys. We'll im kinda getting tired of bringing the car to the shop to get a Swap done and getting raped for labour charges.. (just got a K in a EK hatch and now an R motor into a DC2). The part that i am really confused is the wiring mostly. I know that most chassis's dont come with VTEC already (especially Civics) so i know that there is something to do there. Also i think there is something between OBD's, like i think obd2 has 2 o2 sensors and obd1 has 1??? I have the engine crane, hand & air tools, 22 Gallon Air compressor and about 7.5/10 knowledge. Also another thing i am really stumped on is all the sensors and which goes where? and which hoses go where?? so if some of you guys could give me some useful info on some of the more informative information regarding swaps, please send me some links. also any comments as to what i should do that will help me get started would be good. Thanks H-T

Really the way to do it, is to figure out what engine you are putting in what car. Then start researching it. Find out what wiring you have to do. what mounts you need. etc. And then come on H-T and ask for help.
