i have a b16 lsd transmission with a clutch type lsd and it makes a horrible clunking noise when i turn which i understand is somewhat normal but im wondering how sever this noise should be because its horrible. when the transmission was purchased they told me to use 80w90 gear lube but i work at a shop and when you do gear lube on a truck with a clutch pack lsd rear end you have to use an lsd additive so im wondering if any one knows what type of fluid to use and if i just need to deal with the horrible clunking.

 

thats just the way its made... use 80w90 no additive

 

sounds good as long as i have nothing to worry about i can deal with the clunk. thanks
