ok on the shift linkage the pin that holds it all together wont come out!!!! why the helll wont it!!!!! i need to get this motor out fast if you guys have any ideas that would be greatful!! and i tried to take the other side off but the bolt on that side is messed up to

 

its also on a d16z6 if that helps at all

 

suck it up and knock that bitch out. you have to use a punch, or bolt slightly smaller than the pin, and beat on that biotch.

 

Make sure the punch you are using is not an increasing diameter punch that goes in the pin. It has to be a flat tipped punch that is nearly the size of the pin. It is a PITA, but the first time is allways the hardest.

 

yes i sucked it up and hit it for like an hour last night with a hammer and a flat top punch, and it still will not come out

 

find a bolt slightly smaller, but one that doesnt fit inside of it, get some good leverage, and bang on it. that is the only way, and no one said it would be easy.

easy, just jack up that car like 6 inches, and leave the linkage atached, quickest way i know, did it many times.

I took a air chisel bit and ground it to 8mm with a flat end.........

I used the ac tensioning bolt(perfect fit). Don't use this bolt if you need it again though.
