thanks alot man. seriously not to many ppl will help a 15 yr old. i'm most deff. going to search more and read up more on everything i just got to worry about getting my car back to looking like an actual car. thanks alot tho.
what you should do, since your just starting out, get to know your car do some minor modifications, like intake, exhaust, headers. once you get older you can go into a b-series swap but you need more experience in order to go into a k-series swap
find some friends who are starting a b series swap and help them with it and learn while your doing that...after you learn how to do a b series swap then you can move onto a k series...k series are alittle harder then a b series
i just found a d16z6 motor for $35

and this is how im going to learn how to build a motor. im going to strip it down slowly and see how everything is set up. then im going to actually do a swap. this way, i wont eff up on anything, hopefully.

Please look at this thread. The attributes of each trim stayed the same for all the years listed. Sometimes colors and such changed, but I tried to make note of it.

if you havent attempted a b series b4 then you should b4 you try something else...i got my 98 ek hatch at the age of 17, bought a b16 by pieces to put together, ran like ****, had a hydro to cable conversion, bought a complete changeover jdm gsr from HMO, this time i TOOK MY TIME and did learned from my first mistake with the b16, turned out perfect, did another swap in a eg hatch, put in a jdm b16 and also turned out perfect.
NOW im building a K24/k20 frank turbo for my car and attempting to do everything myself..i finished the shortblock and put it all together myself...im still hesitant to do the swap when time comes but it shouldnt be every hard after 2/3 swaps...it will be alittle more difficult then b series but it will just take some patients.

You're a moron. Don't ever post **** again.
There are D16Y7's and D16Y8's all throughout 1995-2001 (worldwide). They are different motors, one is a 1.6L SOHC Non-VTEC and the other is a 1.6L SOHC VTEC-II engine. They come in various bodies and trims of Civics, Integras, Domani's, 1.6 EL's, Balades, etc all throughout the world.
So please, shut up and don't post if you're not sure.

dont even worry about doing a swap yet. learn to drive the car on the stock motor,if you learn to drive the stock motor to its fullest and get the most power out of that, if will make you a better driver rather than not knowing how to drive and dropping lots of power into your car. and do suspension first and tires. theres no point to the motor if you can put that power to the ground.and in my opinion( i am runnin stock motor with coilovers and good rims and tires) and i have plenty of fun with the stock motor with basic bolt ons.
