Default What cams are you running? ITR

YES, I searched..

I recently picked up a 97spec JDM ITR longblock from Hmotors. I am in the process of getting aftermarket cams. My goal is to make around 200whp. I have BPi 3" v-stack intake, stock ITR IM, Hytech replica header, and 2.5" exhaust.

From what I have seen/heard Buddy Club Spec 3+, Skunk2 Stage 2, and RM M22X do well.

Do any of you have Dyno graphs or know where I can get some graphs of these cams on a ITR motor? Thanks

BC4's or M22's get my vote if you don't mind running a thinner gasket to bump compression a bit. Otherwise, BC3+'s seem more ideal.

i run bc3's on a stock bottom end. i have a ported head and skunk2 valve springs with a few other mods and portmatched intake and what not. i made 216whp with it lol and the bc3's are still very easy to daily drive.

upgrade valvetrain, skunk2 stage 2 cams. and you're right there. u can get away with stock injectors and a 98+ Spec JDM 4-1 ITR header. dont run a cat either

yeah you can run jun3s on stock bottom end easily and make decent power.

you could probably make a little more with some larger cams. bc3+ arent really that large of a cam

or invest in better parts like maybe a hytech, smsp, or a toda header and not some weak header. and if u wanna run a cat i would reccomend the hytech high flow cat cause it flows really good and ull burn cleaner than stock. i wouldnt run stock injectors either cause ur gonna max them out really quick and u dont wanna be at a 96% duty cycle so i would say get some 3xx cc's or some 440cc's. and make sure u have a true 2.5" inner diameter exhaust. the better quality of parts the more power and reliable power u will make.

itr 4-1 headers are cheap for a reason. if u really wanna take advantage of the larger cam profiles get a port and port match ur intak manifold and get a 68mm throttle body and port match the opening on the intake mani aswell and ull be well above 200whp. just my .02 if ur gonna do it right, do it once and dont skimp out on parts.
