Skunk stage two's with ITR valvetrain
Will I be safe running Skunk stage two cams with ITR valves, springs, and retainers? Oh, and also ITR motion assemblies. Thanx in advance.

uhm... i have a B18C5, getting skunk2 stage 2 cams... getting skunk2 valvetrain to go along with em =o)
as for if it will be safe, IMO... i'd go with no, but i don't know that much.

Re: Skunk stage two's with ITR valvetrain (B16Hatchcx)
my cousin had itr valvetrain on his skunk2 stage 2 cams in his b20vtec never really had a problem with it. when i was in california tho i was upgrading the vavletrain to toda valvetrain but with the car running itr valvetrain the car pulled all the way to 10500rpms lol (mugen chip)
best bet is to call and ask skunk2 and find out if they will suffice i mean my cousin had them in for about a year when i was there and he constantly beats the **** out of the car and never had a problem with it.

anyone running stage 3 cams w/ an ITR valvetrain is an idiot. skunk2 doesn't even recommend you use their valve springs w/ stage 3 cams.
stage 2 cams would also be sketchy w/ ITR valvetrain. i'm sure it would be alright for a while, but you will have valve float and coil bind problems.
i know of several people running stage 1 cams w/ stock ITR valvetrain and have had no problem, but stage 1 cams are alot less aggressive.
your best bet is to just get the skunk2 valvesprings when you purchase the cams. they're not expensive and you will have no worries.
