gsr fresh built turbo dies, stumbles bad.. HELP
ok, the car is a 2000 civic si, the engine is a gsr bottom end, je 9:1 pistons, crower rods, hastings rings, oem bearings, all arp bolts. block was done professionally by myself and i know its done perfect. the head is a b16a2 w/ gsr cams that i was running be4 and is in mint condition.
heres the problem: i built the motor, installed it in the car, running on the same bin i was be4, so i know thats good, i even reburned the chip. went to start it, and no start, the only way it starts is if the gas pedal is pressed, and it wont stay running unless u keep a constant say 5% throttle, then it idles nicely at 900 rpm, BUT, when u give it more gas, say 5-50% throttle it goes baaaabaaaaabaaaabaaaaabaaaaabaaaaa, kinda like a rev limiter noise, but it does it at any rpm u rev it to. i rechecked the timing by 2 methods, one, manually, pulled the valve cover and checked everything, all lines up, two, pulled a plug and manually found tdc, and everything lines up. however, if i loosen the distributer, retard it, the car just dies completely, advance it, and it gets a tiny bit better. its also a BRAND NEW ignitor and coil, new wires, plugs, cap, and rotor. so its fairly safe to say its not the ignition system. the fuel system is a brand new oem fuel filter, rc550cc injectors that are brand new and i bench tested personally, a known good walbro 255 and oem pressure regulator, so its getting gas. the plugs are a nice light brown color, i.e., perfect. it also has a brand new iacv, and ive tried others, and it has the same tb, intake mani, and all it had be4, when it ran perfect, so all that stuff is good. basically, i think im hunting an electronical ghost, anyone with any ideas here? im pretty close to giving up and like burning my dam $25k civic.
oo, i also made sure all connections were correct, including the notorious map/tps switched connection, and everything else is hooked up right.
so based on what its doing, and what u guys know i tested already, what the hell can be wrong with my baby?
