Help...wiring..what's this
This is a 92 Civic CX and the plug in the picture comes off the main harness and has a white plug blocking it off. It's sitting on the passenger side by the air intake hole. Any idea what's it for? I can't find it in my Helms manual.
Think either it's for VTEC or ABS.

It's not for ABS either. Take the white thing off and look at the plug. Everytime I open my hood, I always take the white cap off and try to figure out wtf that is for.

Toda Si, did you ever figure out how to re-do your distributor?
I found out a better way to explain it.
The 2 wires that need to be moved are the coil wires.
The OBD2 distributor has the coil wires all in the same plug as the other 4 wires, but your Civic's engine harness has a separate plug just for the coil wires.
Simply unhook the 2 coil wires (can't recall color:hammer
and then hook them into the "extra" plug for them that your CX harness has on it.
Does that make sense?
BTW:
Just don't worry about that little white-capped plug...doesn't have any effect on the swap y0!
...Unless you need A/C.

Thanks everyone, I figured out what the plug was for yo....
Gonna hook the neon lights up to it and bump with some hydralics boyz
On a more serious note: The rear engine mount bracket (GS-R)does not fit on my block(different bolt points)....my 99 Si bracket does fit but is about 1" short. Is the type R rear bracket different from the GS-R, as I have an ITR block?
Tom, yea, was easy to figure out, but I just hooked up the OBD-1 distributor.
