Default Whats this hole for?

Does anyone know what this hole is for? It's on the side of the driver side shock tower right next to where part of the car harness clips in, on an EG civic.

I'm wondering if I should have a plug there and what originally went there?

So they didn't plug that hole for 92s? I have a 92, so ABS wasn't even an option..

So why isn't the hole plugged on a 92? I feel like my car is retarded. I also have that connector for the sensor right next to it, you can see the wires. I have no idea why it is like that. They are cut too..

It looks like there *was* a plug -- seems like you can see the remnants of a ring of road grime around it.

Haha, now I have to look for a plug on the huge "grommet" diagram.

Any ideas? I'm thinking 20 or 21. But 20 is only 12 mm and 21 is 18 mm so it looks more like 18mm or larger.

Maybe 14mm. It does look like there was a plug there before due to the clean ring on the outer side.

There is no 14 mm plug there. I'll get the 20 and 21 from the dealer (12mm and 18mm) and see if any of those work.

Hehe, I wish I had the: money, time, skill. I would love to. You see the paint in my bay? Exactly.

So, the #22 which is the 20 mm plug was too small. It fell through the hole. Then I got the #23, which points no where near what I want, but I noticed it said it was 25 mm. So I tried that and it worked. The #11 is also 25 mm but it says "grommet, wax hole" as opposed to "plug, blind". So I'm not sure if the #11 would have been better to use.

Chris: Hey dad, what's a blowhole for?
Peter: Well, I can tell you what it's not for, and when I do, you'll know why I can never go back to Seaworld.
