headlight on, no radio power.
Is this an aftermarket radio? if so the wire for dimming the lights on the unit is hooked up to the wrong wire. you deck might not have a dim feature and its hooked up to some remote shut off on the deck for like a car phone or something, just a guess good luck

wire for your headlights or dash light is crossed with the ground for your radio
if the dimming wire for the radio is cross with the ground for the radio that will happen..
you can test it by cutting the ground off the radio and ground it (radio side) directly to the chassis
