Default k or b series?

ok i already have a b18c1 in my rex but im thinkin bout selling it and goin a lil better! now personally i love both the b18c5(type r) and k series they are both pretty bad *** and quick. i personally am thinkin bout the type r cuz its a bseries and i already got a bseries so i could use my mounts and some other parts and it should be alot easier to swap but i wanna know would the lil bit of extra money and work be worth it to just go to a kseries? i am a lil tight on money so i just think it would be easier and cheaper and i could get almost the same performance. plus i wanna spray 75-100 shot of nitrous which would be better for nitrous apps?? please gimme your opinions and if you have done either swaps or ran them on nitrous lemme know how it runs and stuff

If you are on a tight on money, K is not an option.

Put some B16 pistons in your GSR...you can find sets all day long for ~$50...if you have some money left after that buy some CTR/ITR cams, or even some skunk Stage 1's (no valvetrain neccesary if you keep the revs below 8200)..have a tuner in your area install Crome or a hondata unit and get it tuned.Out the door you should be able to do this for under $1000, and you will run circles around stock Type R's, and at least give the K20a guys a run for their money for really cheap.

Do you honestly believe what you just wrote? Holy ****. People are getting over 300 hp with the K series with Kpro and tuning alone.

Instead of swapping a type r in there, or a k20, why not boost the gsr? You will make more power than either swap and it will definitely be cheaper than a k swap.

What are you goals, other than more power. How much more do you want? how much money do you want to spend?

dude that comment about playing with the big boys was funny as ****....but its all good i know how to play with the big boys i had a built impala i know it was heavy but i ate gto's all day and i have a 91s10 with a mildly built 350 but im back in a honda now and what not but anyway i mean i make good money and can afford a k swap but i just owe my dad money right now and wanna pay him first while i do things with my car. but im not to into boost so thats not an option for me. but i keep up with k swaps right now with my gsr. my crx is gutted to hell stock internals except cams are type r and i got a 75shot zex. i got bigger jet i just spray 75 though til i do somethin else. right now the nitrous isnt installed so obviously i get rocked by a k swap. but when i had it in on radials i have kept up and i have beat 1 k swap i think it was a stock type s in an eg. but honestly i want high 10s low 11s so lemme know yall

10s in anything isn't easy.... 10s all motor is mega bucks. I think you have your goals set a little too high.

If you wanna hit tens, spend your money right, put a 35r on your b18c1 and sleeve it and get slicks.

But seriously GSR boosted in a EF is simply your best bet. Read Maximum Boost by Corky Bell while you save up. Seriously that is the most informative piece of automotive literature I have ever read. Best of luck
