Default Painting bare metal

I have a bare roll cage in the car right now.I was just wondering if it would be good enough to just scrub the cage down and then wipe with something like BASF finalwash?I have been told to use a degreaser and then self etch primer.I am going to paint the cage but I want a good primer first to help with adhesion.I also know the primers come in aerosol and brush on types what would be the best products and method to use? Thanks Tony

yeah wipe it down with the degreaser, spray the etch on it, then you're going to need a non sanding sealer and you're ready to spray your base.

I always have great results using aerosol U-Pol acid etch primer , your bodyshop supply store should carry it

Seal it then paint it wet on wet. Just flash between coats.
